On December 1, 2025, federal immigration agents attempted to pull over a Chevrolet Silverado occupied by Lopez-Sanchez and four others. In a drastic maneuver, Lopez-Sanchez allegedly shifted the vehicle into reverse, striking an agent stationed behind the car.
